New IT Suite for Village School

Generous Luton businessman Jan Telensky has put a smile on the faces of pupils at Markyate Village School after providing them with a brand new PC suite with £15,000 worth of computers and IT equipment.


The equipment was delivered and installed at the end of June by a team of IT technicians provided by Mr Telensky. Mr Telensky officially opened the new IT Suite during the schools Open Evening.

The children at MarkyateVillage School have already started using the new computers and they are already beginning to have an impact. One of the pupils said of the new IT suite “Kinda speechless, really cool”. Another said “Really good to use, much quicker than the old ones.”



Head teacher, Mr Jon Hood said “I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of the staff and pupils for Mr Telensky’s extremely kind and generous donation of new computers for our suite. The new machines not only look fantastic but a re a huge improvement on the old computers.”

He continued “ICT is a hugely important area of the curriculum and we are now able to support the work of the children with our new mini-suites around the school. Good ICT skills help the children become more independent in their learning and help to motivate pupils in their learning.
Mr Telensky said, “Education is very important and children deserve the best facilities available to enhance the learning experience. IT skills are an important part of our future and IT will definitely play an important part in their futures.

Mr. Telensky has previously dontated a number of computers to Flamsted Village School and recently dontated donated £60,000 worth of state of the art computer equipment to the University of Bedfordshire, to enable the University to open a new Forensics Laboratory.
